  • Umbrella - It is always a good idea to bring a umbrealla when you are going Sightseeing in Copenhagen. The weather is general mild, and if you bring a umbrealla and a jacket, you are ready for the Danish weather.
  • Parks - You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks incl. alcohol into Parks in Copenhagen. Find a nice spot and relaxe. In the summer when the weather is good, it is normal to bring your own blanket.
  • Alcohol - It is allowed to drink alcohol in the public. Do it with respect for other people, and have a walking beer between the sights.
  • Breakfast - You can find bakery shops og Cafés serving breakfast. But you have to beware that many Bakery's dont have seating and many Cafés do not serve breakfast or brunch in a weekday.
  • Lunch - There are many places to have lunch in Copenhagen. Fastfood places, restaurant and Cafés are all over the place. You can also find Supermarkeds in the City center.
  • Dinner - You find many restaurants, Cafés and Fastfood places that serve you dinner. It is a good idea to make reservation in restaurants, and you should be seated before 9 PM otherwise you only find Fastfood.
  • Nightlife - Many sights are light up at night, so you can visit a bar at the same time. It is normal that bars in Copenhagen first closes 5 o´clock in the morning. You can find a bar for everyone in Copenhagen.
  • Public transportation - If you dont want to walk all over the City, Copenhagen have a lot af public transportation. Bus, Train (S-tog) and Metro. They run all day and all night and you can buy tickets in train and Metro stations or you can download the App: "DOT tickets" ("DOT billetter" in Danish). Read and learn more here.
  • Bottles - In Denmark there is a fee on most bottles when you buy them in Supermarkeds, Kiosks, Gasstations etc.. Money you will get back if you bring them back. All for the environment, and that work very well. So dont put your bottles in the litter can in the streets, but stand them next to or on top of the litter can. Then someone looking for some little money dont have to look trough the trash to find them.
  • Crime and Accidents - The Crime in Denmark and Copenhagen is very low, and it is general save to move around in nighttime. Look out for each one another and use your command sense and you will be fine.
  • Bicycling - In Denmark and Copenhagen it is normal the Danes bicycles anytime and anywhere. So be careful when you cross the streets. You can rent a bicycle all over the City.
